MPPM Mont-Perdu World Heritage UNESCO

The cross-border Mont-Perdu massif is registered at the UNESCO World Heritage for both cultural and landscape criteria.

In France, in Hautes-Pyrénées, the Gavarnie, Troumouse and Estaubé cirques, as well as the Baroude cliff show peculiar sights of this high mountain spot.

In Spain, in Aragon province, Ordesa, Añisclo and Pineta are among the deepest European canyons.
These southern sloping landscapes, built along the centuries by a typical agriculture in terrace and by the sheep breeding, show the signs of the shepherds' remarkable adaptation to the harsh nature.
